CMEA
The California Music Education Foundation is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit corporation that supports charitable and educational efforts to promote quality music instruction for the children and adults of California.
The Hickman Honor Choir competes annually in the local competition, often as the only Elementary / Junior High School. This allows the students to show off what they have learned and receive feedback from other choir teachers.

About Hickman Honor Choir
Hickman Honor Choir is just one part of the choral opportunities at Hickman Charter School. The choir is made up of third through eighth grade students. They typically produce two performances a year and participate in the local CMEA competition. Every other year they attend the Disney Performing Arts program at Disneyland.
Disney Performing Arts
Since 1955, over 30,000 groups from states across America and six different continents have participated in Disney Performing Arts. The program, which is held at both the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California, is a series of informative workshops, exciting competitions, and entertaining festivals and events designed to help individuals who are interested in performance whether it be vocal, theater, dance, or instrumental. Participants can sing, dance, and shine on Disney stages while building confidence, character, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Every other year the Hickman Honor Choir travels to Disneyland to participate in the Disney Performing Arts Workshop and Performance.
