Sleeping Beauty Audition Schedule Change

Good Evening,

Although we reserved the High School theater for our auditions on Monday,  the High School is having a special speaker on Monday, and they would like to use the theater, beginning at 2 p.m.

Our new audition time is as followed:

Auditions for Sleeping Beauty and Into the Woods
Monday, May 15  from 11:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.

Everyone needs to be seated and ready to shine at 11:45a.m.,  so please make sure the students are there before 11:45a.m. Students can start gathering in the theater at 11:35, so we can begin right at 11:45 a.m.

Those who cannot make it at 11:45 a.m., that is OK.  You can show up at the normally scheduled time of 12:35 p.m. to audition. Please plan to enter quietly through the lobby doors. Please do not use the side door since it is more likely to distract the students who are auditioning.

As soon as auditions are over, everyone will need to leave the theater quickly so the high school can get ready for their speaker. Please be aware that we will finish earlier than scheduled, and students will be ready to be picked up by 1:45 p.m.

Thank you for your understanding! We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Thanks!

  • Please do not eat in these uniforms.
Uniform Alterations
  • Girls: We will be having a seamstress alter any dresses that need it in August when we start the new year. For now we are asking that you tack them up. You can either tack them with thread or blue painters tape. Dresses should be full lengthen and right at your shoes. If your dress is too long and you decide to use blue painter tape, we suggest looking at how it looks after taping it to make sure the tape is not bunching the skirt. It might work better to use small stripes spaced apart. If you need to iron the dress please do it before you apply the tape.
  • Boys: We will be having a seamstress alter any pants that need it in August when we start the new year. For now we asking that you tack them up.  You can either tack them with thread or blue painters tape. If your pants are to long and you decide to use blue painter tape, we suggest looking at how it looks after taping it to make sure the tape is not bunching the leg. It might work better to use small stripes spaced apart. If you need to iron the pants please do it before you apply the tape.
  • Please remove the tape as soon as possible after wearing. We do not want tape residue on the inside of the uniform, if possible.

If you have any questions please ask! We want this to be a wonderful experience for the students. If they are feeling positive and happy about their uniforms it will reflect in their performance =)

Thanks!

New Uniforms on Wednesday, April 5

Good Afternoon Honor Choir Families,

Hurray! Uniforms are starting to come in =) Right now we are still waiting on some of the vests but we have everything else so we would like to start handing everything out. This Wednesday, April 5th, we will be handing out uniforms after practice. Please plan on having your student(s) pick up their uniforms before they leave.

Girls will be receiving a formal dress. We ask the girls to please wear a tank top under their shirts so we can have them quickly try on their dresses. We need to see if any need to be altered.

Boys will be receiving tuxedo pants, tuxedo shirt, 2 bow ties (blue and red) and a vest.

Every uniform will be handed out with a bag for them to be kept in at home. Please understand that once the uniforms are handed to your student they will be in your family’s care. Your student will be receiving the uniform care instructions with their uniform. Please take a moment to review the information with your student. The information is also available on the website.

If the missing vests come in by Friday and there are not a lot of alterations to the girls dresses, we would like them to wear the new uniforms this Friday. We will let you know closer to CMEA which uniform to wear.

Thanks!
