Dear Honor Choir Families,

We hope you are all well and enjoying being back to our Wednesday Honor Choir classes. The official Disneyland itinerary has been sent to us. Friday, March 4 is our performance and workshop date.

We will be getting tickets at a discounted price.

One day Hopper Pass: $134
Two day Hopper Pass: $171
Three day Hopper Pass: $205
Four Day Hopper Pass: $242
Five day Hopper Pass: $279

Our student’s one day pass will be covered by the choir funds. If you are staying beyond the students one day experience you will need to cover the difference for them. You may have additional family members or friends that will be attending, and families will need to cover those costs as well. A deposit of $20 per person (this does not include your student) will be due Nov. 11, with the remainder due Jan. 13. This gives you time as a family to make plans and decide what tickets you would like. Checks need to be made out to Hickman Charter School. Once we have everyone’s money Hickman writes one big check to Disneyland for all the tickets needed.

On a side note, we regret to inform you that Franco and Maria Gutierrez’ father passed away last week. Our hearts go out to their family. We will pass around a card for the children to sign on Wednesday to let the family know of our love and concern for them. If you wish to do more for the family and don’t know how to do so, please let Kelly or I know and we will help direct you.

October 7th Practice

Hello Families,

I hope everyone has enjoyed the break from Honor Choir and are ready to start again. This week Mr. Thompson would like the students to please bring their SRO packet to practice on Wednesday.

For those Honor Choir families that would like to watch the high school student’s production of Wizard of Oz, you are welcome to attend the show on Thursday, October 8 @ 10:20.

Honor Choir Starts again October 7th

Hello Everyone,

Sadly, Wizard of Oz is over but what a great show!! All the kids did a fabulous job and worked very hard! Now they can take a well deserved break before we start up again.

Please be aware, Honor Choir will be starting up again Wednesday, October 7 @ 2:35-3:35.

I hope you all enjoy a small break and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Revised Schedule, Take 2

Dear Families,

We were just kidding about being there tomorrow at 9:10 for mic check. We are going back to the original times. Mic check will be at 8:45, with a call time of 9:00. The mic check today took much longer than anticipated. We need the extra time if things take longer tomorrow. Also there are a few things Mr. Thompson would like to run through before we clear the theater for the show.

Thank you for being flexible. We are almost over the finish line and we can enjoy some hard work and some very happy kids having fun! 🙂 It makes it all worth it.

Revised Schedule

Dear Honor Choir Families,

With the performances starting tomorrow we would like to make you aware of some changes. Thank you for understanding and working with us. The changes have been highlighted in red so you can see where the changes have been made.

Yesterday we had some of the boys wear their black t-shirt underneath their white button up shirts to see if they could been seen. Robin, our light specialist, said that they were not noticeable enough for us to need to wear something different (white t-shirt). Plus she mentioned that if the white undershirts are worn under their black shirts and show even a tiny bit, they glow in the stage light. With those two observations we are asking all the boys to just wear their black t-shirts under their button up shirts for SRO. Sorry about the changes but after trying out everything we would like the boys to look their best and make it easy for them at the same time. this will save them time with changing over to Oz.

After talking with Mr. Thompson we realized that some of our times where off. Below you will find the revised schedule. We are sorry for the confusion and hope the new times will give you a little bit more time to rest and get ready.
