Dear Parents,
What a wonderful first day of crunch week. The students got to run through the whole show on Monday and are now ready to work on adding their costumes and mics. Below you will find all the information you need for mics and costumes. There is a lot of information so please take the time to read the whole email =)
MICS:
Mic check is very important for our sound crew to make sure everything is working. If your students name is listed below please make sure that they are in their costumes, mics on, mics checked by Mr. Daniel or Elizabeth Daniel, and ready for mic check at the time listed. Please be aware that the time listed is the time that the sound crew will be working with your student on stage not the time they need to arrive. We will have someone at the auditorium at the times listed on the crunch week schedule in the previous email. There should be enough time for students to get ready.
STUDENTS THAT NEED TO BE READY 20 MINUTES BEFORE REHEARSALS AND SHOWS FOR MIC CHECK: If your student is not ready for mic check 20 minutes before rehearsal the sound crew will not have time to check their mics before the show.

COSTUMES:
- Please label your students costume with their name on masking tape on inside, especially if they remove it during the show.
- Bring a labeled bag for them to hold all their stuff including a sealed water bottle.
- If they have parts of their costume that belong to them and they need to wear them to the auditorium, for example boys wearing their own pants and shirt, that is fine but all other parts of the costume should be put on at the auditorium.
- Please NO EATING MEALS in your costume.
- BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES for the cast party and for when costumes are turned in
- Your student needs return all borrowed costumes and props to Mrs. Waters and Mrs Conners after the last show on Saturday. The high school uses these items too =)
- Girls: please make sure your hairstyle represents that time period. No high pony tail, french braids or braids, except if they are playing the part of a little girl.
Other:
- Volunteers needed: We are looking for one volunteer per show that would be willing to chaperone Room 49 before the shows. All you would need to do is stay in Room 49 with the students until Mr. Thompson arrives to warm them up, usually 30 minutes before the show starts. If you are interested please talk to Kelly.
- Please make sure your student stays hydrated during this week. They can bring a bottle a water with a lid back stage during the shows. Please make sure it is labeled if it is a plastic water bottle.
- There is rain in the forecast for Friday and Saturday. Please plan for any extra time you may need to get to the auditorium.
- Please remind your student that once they are dressed and have been released from mic checks that they need to go to room 49 (show times) or go to the lobby during rehearsal time. The sound crew needs to focus on mic checks and that is hard to do with students running around.
This is going to be another great show. Thank you for everything you do to make this a wonderful experience for your student and everyone that works with them.
Thanks!
